Payton Smith is the Regional Operations Manager with seven years of progressive experience in hotel operations. He joined Fine Hospitality Group in 2019 and currently oversees a diverse portfolio of Hilton, Choice, Best Western, and Wyndham properties across multiple markets. His role focuses on providing practical, hands-on support to General Managers and property teams, improving operational processes, strengthening brand compliance, enhancing guest satisfaction, and driving consistent financial performance. Payton also works closely with each hotel to support staffing structure, cost management accountability systems, and long-term operational planning.

He began his hospitality career with Fine Hospitality Group in 2019 at Comfort Suites Oceanside, starting at the front desk where he gained firsthand experience in the day-to- day needs of both guests and staff. Over the years, he progressed into leadership roles including Front Office Manager and eventually General Manager. These positions allowed him to build a well-rounded understanding of operational standards, brand compliance, team development, and revenue-generating strategies. Payton later served as the General Manager of the Homewood Suites by Hilton Carlsbad, where he continued to strengthen his operational management skills, guided large-scale daily functions, and supported improvement initiatives while maintaining a stable guest experience and team culture.
