By pursuing efficiencies and optimizing the resources at its fullest, Nish’s team has been able to maintain a portfolio‐wide average Gross Operating Margins of 35%, yielding over $2 million in net profit to its investors in the last six years. Nish Kharod was born in East Africa, had his early education in India, and came to Southern California in 1997 to pursue Higher Education and his American Dream. Nish continued his education through the completion of B.S. in Computer Science from California Polytechnic University, Pomona, CA in 2003. However, instead of pursuing a career in Information Technology, he chose to pursue his passion in the Hospitality Industry.

His first opportunity to lead and manage a hotel came in 2006 when he took over as a General Manager of Quality Inn & Suites, located in the Palm Springs area. As a Resident Manager, he had an opportunity to immerse in all areas of hotel operations. Through extensive upgrading of the guest experience and instituting highly effective systems, he increased the revenue by 35% from 2004 to 2006, raising the valuation of the hotel from $3.5 million to $4.8 million when it was sold.

Nish strongly believes that the secret to succeeding in the industry is through compassion, having a servant’s heart, and through giving back to the hospitality community. He does that by serving on the boards of various associations such as Vice-Chair for Holiday Inn Express Owners Committee and Vice-Chair for Sales Task Force Committee for InterContinental Hotel Group Owners. He has also served on the Regional Advisory Board for Choice Hotels. He has been part of the panel at the Regional Hilton Owners Meeting. Nish has the missionary zeal to create value for guests, associates, and investors through owning and operating premium-branded hotels nationwide, and as Nish likes to put it, “Let’s do it the Fine Hospitality Way.”
